The educational story “The Head Among the 12 Stars” – a CERS exclusive – follows the intergalactic journey of the Onze family as they search for fuel to power their spaceship. By a stroke of luck, this cheerful XXL family of purple extraterrestrials lands in a village completely unknown to them: Scy-Chazelles! A chance encounter with Lili and her dog Astro sparks a lively conversation among these quirky characters, leading to a friendship without borders.
Through visual, audio, and graphic storytelling, enriched with short, interactive, and fun activities, this educational tale helps primary school and lower secondary students discover the European Union, its values, and one of its most recognizable symbols: its flag.
Objectives:
- Understand the symbolic meaning of the 12 stars on the European flag.
- Connect the values represented by the EU flag with examples from the everyday lives of Europeans.
- Encourage teamwork and strengthen group cohesion.
