Onboarding Memories in Metz and Scy-Chazelles – Overview and discussions around the local history of forced labor in Moselle during World War II

The Robert Schuman European Centre is happy to be the French partner of the "Onboarding Memories" project - a project that deals with forced labor during the Second World War.

The objective of the various working groups from Poland, France and Germany is to create a virtual museum in order to document the places, testimonies and stories linked to forced labour. The “Onboarding Memories” project enabled the young participants, including several members of CERS, to grasp a common theme with local repercussions from in a multiperspectivist manner. This virtual museum aims to highlight a part of history unknown to the general public on a European scale using english as its working language.

We planned a conference in Metz and Scy-Chazelles in July 2022 to assist the working groups as they built the future virtual museum and to debate with young Europeans the local equivalent of forced labor during the Second World War, the "Reichsarbeitsdienst" (RAD).

This video will allow you to discover the content of this seminar.
