In October 2023, Blanche and Till, representing the Robert Schuman European Centre, visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg. There, they met with French representative Patrick Hetzel, deputy of the 7th constituency of Bas-Rhin, and the German Wolfgang Schäuble, deputy from Offenburg (Baden-Württemberg), who has served as Minister of Finance, multiple times as Minister of the Interior, and as President of the Bundestag under Angela Merkel.
For an hour, they questioned both men about their experiences and engaged in discussions on current topics related to youth, democracy, geopolitics, and the future of the EU, with a Franco-German and resolutely European perspective.

On December 26, 2023, Mr. Wolfgang Schäuble passed away.
Our meeting in October 2023, with exchanges on current events and some geopolitical issues, the European elections of June 9th 2024 ahead, was surely his last in-depth interview on tape.
