Robert Schuman European Centre - CERS
What does it mean to live in one of the most international regions of Europe? What is there to discover in countries just an hour away from home?
With this giant puzzle of the Greater Region, participants explore the features and opportunities of this cross-border area, which includes parts of four countries!
First, the group familiarizes themselves with the geographic scope of the Greater Region by reconstructing it. Participants discover the main cities, flags, coats of arms, and languages of this region.
Next, quizzes on various themes of community life take them on a journey through Lorraine, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Luxembourg, Wallonia, and the German-speaking Community of Belgium. In teams, participants earn points by answering questions about natural parks, culture, cross-border mobility, economic challenges, and places of remembrance.
In a playful and cooperative manner, the entire group explores the opportunities offered by the Greater Region and the importance of cross-border cooperation.
Objective: To experience the potentials of the Greater Region through play and to raise awareness of daily life in a cross-border region.
