The Centre européen Robert Schuman (CERS) is an organisation dedicated to promoting European values, democracy and intercultural dialogue. The team consists of four permanent staff members and welcomes one European volunteer and one intern each year, who enrich the Centre’s activities through their backgrounds and experiences. With an open outlook on Europe, the CERS brings together people from different European countries who speak French, English and/or German; proficiency in other languages is a real asset. Working at the CERS means sharing a strong belief in the European project, demonstrating an open-minded approach, enjoying sharing knowledge, leading projects and contributing creatively and innovatively to the Centre’s activities.

Our team of facilitators:
Recruited from internationally-oriented degree programmes (Master’s in International Relations, European Affairs, Sciences Po, etc.), our facilitators – who very often act as ambassadors for European values – provide invaluable support and a real sense of dynamism to our programmes. They open our minds to new ideas and areas for improvement, and very often help to meet our need for language skills. For them, working at the CERS is a way of taking concrete action for a Europe that makes a difference and of fully embracing their European citizenship.
Our experts:
To carry out its various missions, the Centre européen Robert Schuman also draws on a network of experts who are called upon for targeted and specialised contributions. These collaborations enable us to organise conferences and discussions on major themes such as security in Europe, interfaith dialogue and the European Union’s role on the international stage. The Centre also calls upon specialists for certain educational and cultural initiatives, such as the European Dictation, drawing in particular on experts in the French language.
The Centre européen Robert Schuman is, above all, a team committed to serving European values, with the aim of passing them on and bringing them to life through the legacy and ideas of Robert Schuman. Straddling the worlds of remembrance and transmission, the Centre builds bridges between the past, the present and the future, in order to bring the European ideal to life in a tangible way for all audiences.
