The CERS represents EUNET within the Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) which have participatory status at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
The CERS participates as an observer in the work of the Working Group on Education & Training Working Group of the Greater Region. It cooperates closely with the authorities responsible for education and teacher training (initial and continuing) in the Greater Region of Saar-Lor-Lux-Rhineland-Palatinate-Wallonia: the Rhineland-Palatinate Institute of Education (Pädagogisches Landesinstitut Rheinland-Pfalz), the Institute for Pedagogy and Media in Saarland (Landesinstitut für Pädagogik und Medien), the Coordination Service for Pedagogical and Technological Research and Innovation in Luxembourg (SCRIPT), and the General Administration for Education and Scientific Research of the Ministry of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the German-speaking Community of Belgium and the Rectorate of the Nancy-Metz Academy.
The CERS is an active member of the Working Group of Organisations for Citizenship Education in the Greater Region, which brings together the Zentrum fir politesch Bildung (Luxembourg), the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung des Saarlandes and the Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Rheinland-Pfalz.
It actively collaborates within a cross-border cooperation network established with the European Academies of Otzenhausen (in Saarland) and North Rhine- Westphalia (in Bonn) and numerous other partners in the Greater Region.
The Robert Schuman European Centre is part of a network of associations working to promote the legacy of Robert Schuman, notably alongside the Robert Schuman Institute for Europe (IRSE) and the Robert Schuman Association in Scy-Chazelles.
The CERS is a member of the Federation of Franco-German Associations for Europe (FAFA) and helps to run the Franco-German Grand Est Network (GEFA).
Recently, the CERS joined the working group “ La fabrique de l’Europe” run by the CRISTEEL association in Nancy, “ The Laboratory of Working Together » run by the WeCitizens association in Luxembourg, and the greater-regional working group « KI. Kritisch. Kreativ » led by SCRIPT.
CERS: a coordinator and partner in European projects
For the period 2021–2027, under the ERASMUS, CERV, CREA and HORIZON programmes, the CERS is able to provide selected organisations with its pedagogical expertise and European project management skills to develop dynamic projects that are close to citizens and deliver quantifiable outcomes.
The CERS is a methodological and academic partner for European projects requiring expertise in education and training. For several years now, CERS has specialised in and supported digital and multilingual projects. CERS leads European projects thanks to its ability to bring together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and coordinate the activities of a consortium.
