Encounters lie at the heart of our commitment. Convinced that dialogue is the starting point for a vibrant Europe, we design and organise opportunities for exchange that enable young people and professionals to meet, understand one another better and build a better future together.
These events may be initiated by the Centre européen Robert Schuman or arise from a request from an educational institution, a local authority or a partner organisation. Each project is designed collaboratively to meet the objectives, needs and target audience. We welcome school pupils, students, young adults and professionals from the Greater Region as well as other parts of Europe. The sessions can take place at the Robert Schuman House in Scy-Chazelles, or at a different location suited to the project.
Depending on the objectives, they may take the form of a one-day exchange or a project lasting several days. Drawing on our experience in facilitating intercultural groups, we design programmes that enable participants to get to know one another gradually, to develop cooperation, to take the initiative and to give free rein to their creativity. The week-long exchanges always culminate in a collective project conceived and created by the participants themselves, reflecting their shared journey.
Among our projects, discover the CERS Cross-Border Days organised in Scy-Chazelles as part of the 75th anniversary of the Robert Schuman Declaration, as well as Rap for Democracy, a week-long Franco-German exchange project in which artistic creation became a genuine vehicle for civic expression. Below you will find video reports on these two projects.
